Preparing Your Child For Moving
A lot of families would experience having to move to a different place at least once. Moving can be very stressful for families because of the hassles of packing and settling down. It can be even more stressful for kids because they would have to change a lot of things in their lives. If your family will be moving soon, below are some things you can do to prepare your child.
- Talk to your child about it.
- Keep a positive attitude and hopefully your child will develop it as well.
- Try to avoid other major changes that will affect your child as well.
- Keep your old routines and schedules.
- Expect that your child might have difficulty over the move and be prepared to give lots of hugs to give them reassurance and comfort.
