Dealing With Death in the Family
I have lost three grandparents in my teens – two of them I got to see die. I am no stranger to death. I even have some ideas on how to plan a funeral.
However, it still hits close to home each and every time.
My paternal grandmother had a scare a few days ago. She was having trouble breathing so she was rushed to the hospital only to find out that she was acidotic and has kidney failure. She needed to undergo dialysis immediately. She is 88, bedridden, almost blind and deaf and have battled with diabetes for years. She is in pain. And we saw this coming.
It still hurts. The next couple of days is critical for her. Please include her in your prayers.
