Entertaning Kids with Disney Cupcakes
I would love to try baking these lovely cupcakes in one of my children’s future parties. My son is 10 so baking cupcakes for his party might be impossible already since he is now more engrossed in studying how to remove pimples. He is a tweener after all.
But my daughter would love these, especially since we are Disney fanatics. We watch almost every Disney movie that comes out!

Gift Ideas: Recipes in a Jar

What do you give someone who has everything? I always find it hard to give gifts to my aunts and uncles who, I think, have everything already. However, I find that they are very touched no matter what gift you give, simply because no one makes an effort to give them one anymore. (I realized that having cerebral palsy and being rich have one thing in common: there are things you still want to have, but cannot, since it cannot be bought with money).
Here are some thoughtful gifts they will appreciate. Everybody appreciates food!
1. Toffee Brownies in a Jar, BHG.com
2. Girlfriend Cookies, No Fuss Fabulous
3. Soup with a Handmade Jar Topper, Make and Takes
4. Crisp in a Jar, Wendolonia
5. Whipped Shea Butter Body Scrub, Adventures of a Gluten Free Mom
6. Chai Tea Mix, The Kitchn
7. Country Six Bean Soup Mix, Savings Lifestyle
8. Slow-Cooker Pear and Apple Butter, Marths Stewart
9. Lemon Sugar Hand Scrub, Under the Table and Dreaming
The Diva Needs to eat out
You’ve been preparing good, nutritious meals for your family for endless days. You’ve been cleaning, cooking, working, and doing everything for everyone in your family. It’s time for you to treat yourself. It’s time for the diva, mom, mama, mother, and maid of the house to eat out. It’s time to allow someone else to cook your dinner, do the dishes, and clean up. So, how can you make sure your evening out is all a diva mama deserves and needs? You need to plan ahead and not let anything stand in your way.
If you have children, get a babysitter. You need time away from runny noses, unhappy children, and housecleaning. It’s worth the money to get a good reliable babysitter and not take your children with you. You need time to unwind. When you eat out with young children, all you do is entertain them and pray that they won’t make too big of a mess before you get home. It’s not relaxing in the least.
Take some time to decide where you really want to eat and then schedule the time and date. This will help you establish how much time you will need to be away from home. Give yourself extra time. You want to enjoy your meal–not inhale it. Now, to make it special decide what you’re going to wear. If you want to make yourself excited, get some diva clothing at a great clothing line like baby phat. They make clothing for the diva mommy in all of us. Then you’ll have something really cute to wear on your big night out.
When your big night for eating out comes up, be sure to take extra time getting ready. You might even want to paint your toe nails for the first time in several months. The important thing is to make eating out a diva event.

Recipes for an Exciting Lunchbox
One of the most common difficulties in preparing my children’s snacks and lunch is how to make it more exciting. I know how it feels to open your lunchbox and see something that you have been eating every week. It is not surprising that a lot of kids end up not finishing their snacks or lunches at school. Since nutrition plays a big part in a child’s growth, development, and performance in school, it is a serious concern.
Aside from this, there is a challenge to put them on a healthy diet. I found a great resource that will solve my lunchbox problem. I could even go on a healthy diet myself with the variety of recipes that they offer. They have chicken recipes, pork recipes, beef recipes, appetizer recipes, dessert recipes, and many more. It makes me want to spend more time in the kitchen, something that I never thought I would say. I am browsing through their website and choosing the easier ones that I could try.
