Table Tennis: Indoor Sport for Kids

A friend of mine has a child who is very hyperactive and energetic. Most of the time, the boy still has so much energy at the end of the day that they often find it difficult to put him to sleep. Someone suggested that they put more physical activities in the boy’s daily routine so that he can spend his energy and he will be tired at the end of the day.

Unfortunately, my friend’s neighborhood is not conducive for children. It can be dangerous to let kids play outside because cars are always passing through and too many people pass through the streets. So they are thinking of a sport that their child can play even inside their small backyard. Since my friend’s husband used to play Table tennis in college, they thought of introducing the sport to their son.

Since they did not want to invest on a table tennis table without knowing whether their child will be interested in it, they first let him watch Ping pong matches on TV. The boy was only slightly interested especially since the exchanges that happen during competitions are very intense and fast but he seemed interested enough for them to buy a pair of paddle and a few ping pong balls.

My friend’s husband showed the boy how to bounce the ball on their walls and then hitting it with the paddle. Then they started passing the ball back and forth to each other with the use of their paddles. Their son started having fun with it and they plan to buy a table soon so that they can finally play the sport properly.

Although their son is yet to be physically strained considering the way they have been playing it, they think that it will be an excellent indoor sport for him. As early as now, he eagerly runs for the ball and excitedly hits it with just enough force. Hopefully, it solves their problem with their son’s excess hyperactivity and energy.

Taking Care of the Skin – Tweeners and Teeners

My son is a certified tween. Aside from the frequent mood swings, he has been getting some white heads and oily spots on his usual clean face. Any ideas on how to get rid of acne fast? My husband had them when he was a teen so I am not hopeful it wouldn’t happen to my son.

Here are some tips I saw online:
1. Wear sunscreen. ALL THE TIME.
2. Ditch the bar soap you have in your shower. Find a facial cleanser that’s best for your skin type. Do you have oily skin? (charactistics of oily skin) Many teens find that oily skin is their main concern, so look for a gel based cleanser if this is your problem. An affordable one that you can pick up at the drugstore would be Clean and Clear Acne Cleanser (compare prices) which includes Salicylic Acid which helps clear acne. Make sure you wash your face in the morning and at night. You never want to sleep in your makeup. It’s important to strip your face clean before you put your head down.

3. Moisturize your face. The idea that those with oily skin don’t need a moisturizer is just plain false. What you do need is a light oil-free moisturizer to put on after you cleanse. Clean & Clear Soft Oil-Free Day Moisturizer, SPF 15 (compare prices) is a good choice because of the sun protection. (It’s not enough for all day; reapply as needed). Always moisturize after you wash and dry your face. If your skin is very oily, you may choose to just moisturize in the morning.

4. Use a weekly mask and a weekly exfoliator. A mask deep cleans your pores, while an exfoliator removes the top layer of skin.

Getting Help from an Accutane Lawsuit Lawyer

Manufactured by multinational pharmaceutical company Roche, Accutane is an acne medication that was approved by the FDA in the early 1980s, and was prescribed to many for the treatment of various types of acne. However, over the years a series of worrying reports began to flood in about the effects of Accutane, claiming that the drug caused serious psychological problems and resulted in suicidal tendencies.

As a result of these discoveries, many people have now filed for compensation against the manufacturer of Accutane. Accutane lawsuit lawyers were turned to by many of the victims’ families. It is advisable to go through a specialist lawyers from the O’Hanlon, McCollum & Demerath law firm who have experience in this field, as you will need his expertise and skill to fight the legal teams that these pharmaceutical companies often employ. Your lawyer will put together as solid a lawsuit as possible in order to maximize your chances of getting compensation and seeing justice done for the harm or injury caused by this drug.

Investing on Health

One of my priorities next month or by the beginning of the year is to finally have us signed up for health insurance. There are short term health insuranc NC options available but I am leaning towards the annual coverage with the option to renew after. We havent had insurance for quite a few years already and I do not want to wait for an emergency for me to regret not getting one.
